 UNF electoral organizer and candidate Upulanganie Malagamuwa and her supporters had come under attack in Galgamuwa in Kurunegala yesterday (Mar. 09).she said a group had blocked their vehicles near Mee Oya Bridge and prevented them from entering the Galgamuwa area, her electorate. Following a heated exchange of words, they had reportedly attacked Mrs. Malagamuwa and her supporters and fled the area. According to a complaint lodged with the police, several of her supporters have sustained injuries. (CT) |
